GL15 5LG 15639 I have been a carer for an average of 15 years. I have cared for both young and elderly with all forms of illness and disability. I love caring. It's one of the few jobs I find satisfaction in especially when you see the positive changes you bring to ones life. During my spare time, I love reading, listening to music, doing a little research etc. I love trying new things. I love a challenge every now and again. The qualities I have gained over the years are being patient, understanding, accommodating, paying attention to detail and compassion. Things I like to do really depend. I like trying new things. But I don't mind sticking to routine if I have to. I give self-centred care according to my client's needs. I have experience in personal care, use of specialised equipment to do with moving and handling, dementia, stroke, spinal care, catheter care, diabetes, Parkinson's, learning difficulties etc.

NP16 7AB 136646 Hi, my name is Charlotte. I have been a carer for over 6 years and I am very experienced in looking after people with dementia and brain injury. I also have a lot of experience with using hoists and in rehabilitation from orthopaedic injury and surgery. I am passionate about the consistency and quality of care I deliver and have a kind and empathetic personality. I became a carer because I enjoy making a real difference to peoples lives on a daily basis, seeing people at their most vulnerable and giving them assistance to maintain their independence and getting to know new people, their families and what is important to them. I live in Carterton with my husband, three children and our dog. I am interested in graphic design, motor sports and being outdoors. In my spare time I enjoy bike riding and walking with my family and love movie nights. I am very family oriented and spend all my free time with my boys. I really hope I can help and look forward to hearing from you.

GL4 0SY 66582 I have 25+ years experience working in residential care, supported housing and hospital settings. This involves working alongside adult clients who have additional needs, encouraging them to be more self-reliant, older persons who require more personal care, provision of meals and/or supervision. I am compassionate, calm in a crisis, and a good listener. I am a firm believer in providing a positive quality of life by respecting each client’s autonomy.

GL6 6DH 7760 I love nature, being outdoors, appreciating the seasons and what they bring. Simple gardening for a pleasing outlook and a small allotment for growing my own vegetables. I have a horse, a dog and a cat at home. All have been rescued! And I love making their lives better by spending time with them to notice their needs as well as their gifts. I spent 5 years teaching/assisting in a Steiner school in the kindergarten and upper school. This experience allowed me to share arts and crafts in the making in a selfless, encouraging and quiet way. When I left I began baking various breads for my local community and offered baking workshops to children and adults on a one2one basis as well as groups. Also held regular cookery classes at a home in Cheltenham for homeless young adults. A good number of these participants were able to get jobs and their own lodgings with the knowledge they had gained. Recently I have been working with the over 55s to enhance their wellbeing in a holistic way, using mixed methods; NLP, TFH Kinesiology, Nia technique, Steiner philosophy, massage, dance and mindfulness. All of which I have qualified to the practitioner/facilitator level. I love to get to know my people so that they feel comfortable with me. And I can talk their language, using appropriate words and exercise for their bespoke programme. The outcome is always joyful, and a relationship that evolves into a trustworthy friendship.
