CT19 5EL 278604 Personal Statement With over two decades of dedicated experience in health and social care, and a robust academic background, I am currently pursuing a Master’s in Positive Behaviour Support to further my commitment to enhancing the quality of life for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. My journey has been driven by a deep-seated passion for creating supportive environments that foster positive behaviours and personal growth. Professional Journey and Experience Over the past 22 years, I have worked across various roles in health and social care, where I have honed my skills in supporting individuals with diverse needs. My career began as a care assistant, where I obtained an NVQ Level 2 in Care, which laid the foundation for my understanding of the principles of compassionate and person-centred care. This early experience ignited my passion for working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and it set the stage for my subsequent professional and academic pursuits. Throughout my career, I have held various positions, each adding to my expertise in the field. From working in direct care roles to taking on supervisory and leadership responsibilities, I have developed a comprehensive understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with behavioural needs and the strategies required to support them effectively. My experience spans residential care, community support, and educational settings, providing me with a diverse perspective on the implementation of positive behaviour strategies. Academic Background and Professional Development I hold a degree in Intellectual and Developmental Studies, which provided me with a solid academic foundation in understanding the complexities of intellectual disabilities and developmental disorders. My studies have equipped me with a thorough understanding of the theoretical frameworks and evidence-based practices that underpin effective support strategies. Complementing this, I earned a Diploma in Health Studies, further deepening my knowledge of health and social care principles. As I progressed in my career, I recognized the need for continuous professional development to stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field. I have participated in numerous training programs and workshops, including specialized courses in positive behaviour support and behaviour analysis. These opportunities have allowed me to expand my skill set and apply cutting-edge techniques to my practice. I look forward to hearing from you to discuss how I can best assist you in your home. My rates range depending on your needs. Once we have had a consultation we can negotiate rates. CT20 2PT 5663 I am a carer with over 10 years experience. I worked for one family only for over 6 years. I was in charge of a large house and was trusted the management of the household supervising other staff. I was in charge of the care of the father of the owner. He suffered from Alzheimers but remained in family home up to the end of his life. I cared for him, managing his medication, dressing, accompanying him to outings and hospital appointments. I slept in at the house whilst the owners were working abroad. More recently I have been caring for a 100 year old through a private contact sleeping in the house. This job started as a once a week companionship and was gradually increased to ’job share’ with the client’s daughter one week on/one week off sleeping in the house and cooking a hot evening meal. This has enabled the client to remain independent in her own home. The client has now moved to live with the her family. I completed a week’s training course with Nurse+ and consequently worked in my local Community as a carer before my private employment. Recently I have cared for a lady with Parkinson’s disease and dementia. I have completed my Health Education England, skills for care and Skills for health Certificate. I am a multi linguist and foreign languages are my passion. I worked for a diplomatic overseas service. I speak fluent spanish, french and finnish. I have gained a Diploma in french language and In my spare time I offer language lessons to private individuals. I go to local sports centre regularly to work out and I enjoy swimming too. My strength is my vast experience in the care sector. I am patient, cheerful and calm under pressure. I enjoy working with elderly and my own interest in current affairs and knowledge of different countries and cultures has helped in conversations with adults that I have cared for. I am physically able and in excellent health which helps when caring for a vulnerable person. {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":"0","field_care_type_first":"0","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":"0","field_care_type_second":"0","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":"0","field_care_type_third":"0","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":"0","field_care_type_fourth":"0","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":"0","field_care_type_fifth":"0","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":"0","field_care_type_sixth":"0","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":"0","field_care_type_seven":"0"}

I am very dedicated and hard working, and care passionately about looking after people. I love hearing about people's lives past and present and having worked a lot with individuals at every stage of dementia. I understand it's not just the person In the chair and I love to hear about family and experiences. I have a family - I have 4 sons, and 2 grandsons I like to read, listen to music, go for walks and explore the world around me,I also enjoy watching Sports that include Football, Cricket, Snooker, and follow Arsenal as my football team. I do currently work full time in my deputy manager role supporting children and adults with challenging behaviour but I am happy to help around my days off and have a very supportive husband. CT19 4QG 23925 Previous live in Carer of 8 years. Excellent references from those I cared for in that time. I left a career in Law Enforcement in order to return to Care, as I missed the great sense of satisfaction and contentment that helping others to lead full lives brings. I have a very large area of interests, the number one being an interest in people, and their lives. {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":"0","field_care_type_first":null,"field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":"0","field_care_type_second":null,"field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":"0","field_care_type_third":null,"field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":"0","field_care_type_fourth":null,"field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":"0","field_care_type_fifth":null,"field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":"0","field_care_type_sixth":null,"field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":"0","field_care_type_seven":null}

TN23 3GL 45885 I am a friendly, driven individual who takes great pride in my work and always strives to give my best in everything I do. My role is incredibly fulfilling, and I am constantly reminded of this when I meet individuals and families whose lives I can positively impact. Naturally, I go above and beyond to ensure that those I assist feel not only comfortable but also genuinely happy. As a younger professional, I bring a fresh perspective and a strong skill set to my work. With seven years of experience in the care industry, I have worked across multiple homes and with hundreds of individuals through various agencies. This has allowed me to gain extensive experience and develop the ability to adapt quickly to new environments. Beyond my work in care, I am energetic, passionate about cooking and fitness, and committed to continuous learning. I hold an undergraduate degree in English Literature and plan to pursue a master’s degree in the future. In the meantime, I have significant availability and can be called on short notice, which I believe is a valuable advantage for clients. I would be happy to answer any questions you may have before you decide to work with me as your caregiver! 1 1 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"1, 4, 5","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"1, 4, 5","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"1, 4, 5","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":true,"field_care_type_fourth":"1, 4, 5","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"1, 4, 5","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":true,"field_care_type_sixth":"1, 4, 5","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":true,"field_care_type_seven":"1, 4, 5"}
