DY2 7JT 280151 I started in care after supporting my dad with his end of life care. I'm the youngest of his 9 children and always worked in an office, but whilst caring for my dad I began to wonder how many people are our there who do not have family to look after and care for them at their end of life. So I left my day job with no job to go to, started praying to God for an answer on where and how I could provide the same care I had given my dad to someone who I didn’t even know. The next thing I knew, Live in Care Jobs popped up on my laptop, and the rest is history. From 2017, I have been working in different care settings, starting as a live-in carer, moving into residental care homes, supported living, mental health hospitals, and currently working in the community within mental health. I'm available for sleep in's and evening work as I currently finish work at 5pm. 0 0 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"1, 4","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"1, 4","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"1, 4","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":true,"field_care_type_fourth":"1, 4","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"1, 4, 5","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":true,"field_care_type_sixth":"1, 4, 5","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":true,"field_care_type_seven":"1, 4"}

DY2 7NH 127998 My name is Oluwakemi. I like to be known as Kemie. I am an African from Nigeria, but I understand and speak English language very well. I am patient, a good listener, and enjoy working closely with others - especially older people. I have about 4 years experience as a carer but it seems to me like I've been a carer for a lifetime because I'm so passionate about caring for the elderly. I enjoy listening to older people, I am a very patient person and am always happy to work at my clients' pace, following their lead.  I have worked in end of life care, people living with dementia, stroke, etc. Helping to make clients comfortable at home as a live-in carer. I work well with other palliative care team members, such as doctors, and also with supporting family members with respite care. I love looking after other people, so when my children left home, I decided to become a carer and continue what I’m really good at. I love reading, watching movies, especially family and true life ones. I am a good cook! It’s a big part of my life, and I love trying out new recipes. I can bake well and cook any kind of dishes provided. I'm well guided. I can work on an hourly basis, daytime and overnight shift, and even live in. Contact me, and I’ll reply as soon as I can. WV14 0RW 75559 I have 5 years experience in community care work including supporting clients with Dementia, physical disabilities and mental health, children with Special needs and challenging behaviours. I enjoy helping and supporting people. I love making a difference in people's lives.  A typical day as a Carer would look like, greeting the client with a positive attitude, asking how they are, what they would like to do and making sure they are well and comfortable as can be in a safe environment. I believe it's so important to be valued and respected as an individual regardless of your background, disability, health condition. I work around the clients needs i.e. find out what they like to do etc. I always provide a person centred approach and adapt to each client ensuring their needs are met safely and within their care plan. Having things in common like playing board games, singing, cooking etc makes it an enjoyable pastime for the client and the carer.  Once I learn the routine I do my best to maintain it and deal with situations as they arise in a calm and professional manner. I am organised, self disciplined and very self motivated as I get tasks done and work with the client. I do my best to provide an enjoyable companionship/past time so we can work well together. I always like to create a positive experience as possible.  My great qualities are that I am empathetic, have tremendous patience and resilience. Having a friendly personality and a wonderful sense of humour helps me with leaving the client feeling better being around me at the end of the day and complete routine tasks/additional tasks to the best of my ability. I do my best to show up as a great Carer by looking after myself physically and mentally so I can best look after the clients needs in return.   In my spare time I love going for walks in nature, going to exercise classes like Yoga and Pilates. I love travelling, exploring new places of interests and going to the theatre. I like setting myself new challenges like fasting, cold showers, going on retreats which are good for my soul. I am self published Author of a poetry book. I enjoy reading and listening to Audio books especially on self development, looking after my health and wellbeing, meditating, practising spirituality, listening to ambient music. I very much like cooking healthy foods.  I love going for walks in the countryside and I am fine with pets as I have managed to look after 2 cats on a 1 week live-in-care placement. Although, I do not have my own pets at present but we had a family dog when I was a child.  I do love animals and supported many clients in the community who have had cats, dogs amongst other creatures.  I have experience of live in care as well as care in the community.  I am available to undertake hourly work if not working in my live-in care role.  Thank you and look forward to working with you. :-)  0 1 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"3","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"1, 4, 3","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"4, 3","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":true,"field_care_type_fourth":"1, 4, 3","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"1, 4, 3","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":true,"field_care_type_sixth":"4, 3","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":true,"field_care_type_seven":"4, 3"}
