Empathy and sensitivity to others states/needs make me skilful at the job. I am available to provide up to 2 weeks of holiday cover for your loved one's regular carer(s) at home, and, in some circumstances, care/mobility support for your loved one(s) on holiday in continental Europe, especially Girona/Costa Brava/Spanish and French Catalunya. To your family I can offer: 1. Twenty years’ experience in support work for people of all ages and abilities (including live-in care, and work with people with a range of learning and physical functional challenges), with HNC Social Care qualification 2. Empathic, kindness-infused awareness, easily attuned to people’s/pets’ needs and emotional states 3. Full EU driving licence (valid for use in the UK), manual and automatic, 30+ years’ (safe) driving experience with both LHD and RHD vehicles in continental Europe, the UK, and North America 4. Experience successfully completing Bachelor and Master’s university studies 5. Non-smoker 6. Allergic only to strong cleaning chemicals and cat hair 7. Good sense of humour, and I enjoy comedy 8. Tolerant of differences 9. Good at organising 10. Thirteen years’ experience co-parenting two children 11. I have a repertoire of enjoyable piano pieces I enjoy playing 12. Early riser – I put aside (minimum) one hour each morning for daily meditation practices 13. Basic skills and experience in IT (Word, Excel, Photoshop) 14. Quick / adaptable learner of new skills More about me: 15. Medium level of Spanish, basic level of Catalan language, and basic knowledge of Spanish medical and transport infrastructure 16. Based on the beautiful Costa Brava (near my own loved ones), where there are English-speaking medical professionals available 17. Experienced at travelling on a budget, including by road and high speed train in France, Germany and Spain Developing skills / abilities 1. I enjoy cooking and basic baking, but have only a moderate (7+/-) repertoire of dishes I’m familiar with cooking, but happy to learn and interested in cooking. My own diet is pescatarian (vegetarian + fish), but not strict in a non-vegetarian environment 2.
