LL42 1NR 3745 Hello, I'm Heather, I am a friendly bubbly person who is reliable and punctual. I give my clients the dignity, respect and privacy they deserve, I am confidential at all times. I have 30 years experience in care both in the community and residential setting. My qualifications include NVQ 2, 3 and 5 in health and social care. I have been a registered manager of a nursing home for over 2 years so know how high standards of care need to be. I have also had training in overnight care with Marie Curie. I have experience in bed nursing needs, palliative care, end of life and dementia. I am competent with catheter and stoma care, also medication administration and wound dressings. I am available to assist during the evening, sleeping or waking nights. I am competent in the use of hoists, steadys and slide sheets plus other equipment. I am a car owner with a clean license so can travel to clients in most areas. I am available Monday through to Sunday including weekends. In my spare time I enjoy reading, trying to complete crosswords and walking with my dog Cilla. false

SA32 7RB 216715 ALL ABOUT ME: Hello and a warm welcome to my profile! I’m Claire, a 44 year old single woman who was born and raised in Hertfordshire, England. My professional background includes more than 20 years’ experience of caring for children, teenagers and adults in various roles and settings. I have previously worked as a Nursery Nurse, Teacher, Boarding School Houseparent, and more recently, live-in carer for adults. Of course, these roles had many differences between them, but they also offered many shared experiences that are still very useful today in my work as a carer. For example, I have a lot of experience with: Creating action plans on how best to meet an individual’s needs Learning to recognise a person’s ‘normal’ behaviour patterns, in order to recognise when something is amiss and needs looking into Planning fun, creative activities to stimulate fun and wellbeing Working closely with an individual’s family, to ensure we can do what is best to meet their needs Consulting other professionals (medical, safeguarding) so that vital information is shared and acted on Carrying out risk assessments as necessary, and other Health and Safety paperwork, to ensure the individual’s safety at all times Reporting on matters of Safeguarding to the relevant external bodies Managing, administering and recording the individual’s medications First Aid training And many more besides! My care experience has included working as a Live-in Carer for two different positions, as well as an Overnight Carer position. I'm fairly flexible about my next role. WHAT I’M LOOKING FOR: My ideal role would be a live-in carer position, on a permanent basis, with approximately 6 weeks off throughout the year. However, I am honestly very flexible with this and would much rather find the right person to care for, than the right hours. I am open to any possible arrangement, whether that is short-term, long-term, nights only etc., and am happy to negotiate that based on your needs. BECOMING YOUR CARER: As a carer, I understand that my main responsibility is to support you, the client. My purpose is to help you to live as independently as possible, with the reassurance that I am there to support you and enable this. Working with you - the client: Firstly, we would work together to create a personalised Care Plan, that explains how I can meet your needs as a carer. From time to time, we will look over this plan again to discuss how things are going and what we might change. On a day-to-day level, I will offer support wherever you might want it, such as: Laundry and Housekeeping Cooking and meal preparation Shopping Personal care including dressing Medication prompts Pet care Companionship when you want it, and time by yourself when preferred Driving you to your appointments and taking you for trips out and about Helping you to maintain family links and friendships. Sharing your hobbies with you. Perhaps we like some of the same things? My own hobbies include reading, visiting the library, watching old Hollywood movies, days out in the countryside, visiting tea rooms, singing, playing board games, watching football matches. From time to time, I will probably need to involve other people in your care; with your permission of course. For example, your family members and friends. I could communicate with your family and friends to let them know how you are. This might be through phone calls, emails, text messages, or in person. I can also liaise with them to set up opportunities for you to meet up and socialise, if you wish. There may also be times where I will need to work alongside medical professionals to make sure you are keeping in good health. I can help you keep on top of appointments, and attend these with you if you like, to communicate key information. Where medical care plans have been issued, I can help you to put them into action and review them afterwards. Please rest assured that these are things we would discuss together and that I would only act with your permission. WHAT’S NEXT? I really hope that you have enjoyed reading my profile and perhaps I might be a good match for what you are looking for in a carer. Please do feel free to get in touch any time to say hello or ask a question. Goodbye for now! 0 1 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":"1","field_care_type_first":"1, 4, 5, 3","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":"1","field_care_type_second":"1, 4, 5, 3","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":"1","field_care_type_third":"1, 4, 5, 3","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":"1","field_care_type_fourth":"1, 4, 5, 3","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":"1","field_care_type_fifth":"1, 4, 5, 3","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":"1","field_care_type_sixth":"1, 4, 5, 3","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":"1","field_care_type_seven":"1, 4, 5, 3"}

SA9 1XW 67091 Began my Care career in February 2020, just after I had arrived in the country. I became a Healthcare Assistant at a Care Home. It appears I started working as a Healthcare Worker right on time, and very shortly before the Covid-19 pandemic, the lockdown, and the staff shortages. During these months, I had the opportunity to really prove myself as a valuable member of the team. I became support staff and was working almost every night shift, by choice to help where I could. It was a difficult time for all, and I gained invaluable experience. I was nominated by several of my colleagues and superiors to be fast-tracked to senior. I am immensely proud to have been considered and I was extremely competent at running shifts and supervising my team on duty. Together we had continuously very smooth-running shifts. In June 2020, I was awarded Employee of the Month. I hold that title with great pride, and I hope to have the opportunity to prove myself in your organisation too. I have empathy, compassion and am a natural carer and nurturer. Caring, I discovered, came naturally to me. 0 2 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"1, 4, 5, 3","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"1, 4, 5, 3","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"1, 4, 5, 3","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":true,"field_care_type_fourth":"1, 4, 5, 3","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"1, 4, 5, 3","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":true,"field_care_type_sixth":"1, 4, 5, 3","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":true,"field_care_type_seven":"1, 4, 5, 3"}
